Researchers at Technion University in Israel have created a millimeter sized robot that will be able to crawl through your veins and check them for damage. The small size was made possible due to the propulsion method used by the robot. The robot will be controlled from outside the patient’s body by magnetic fields and has no battery or motor. It’s tiny arms are designed to grip vessel walls as it crawls around. Creepy but useful. Next stop, internal roto-rooting, constipation busting robot.
