It seems that the world’s oldest profession, prostitution, is being affected by the recession just like other industries in Germany. Because prostitution is legal in Germany, the industry and what goes on in it, is much more transparent. With bonuses and jobs being trimmed worldwide, I guess people are cutting out the luxuries.
Brothels are cutting prices or running promotions, while others have introduced all-inclusive flat-rate fees. Free shuttle buses, discounts for seniors and taxi drivers, as well as “day passes” are among marketing strategies designed to keep business going. A day pass? Really? Talk about treating sex like an amusement park.
